Welcome to Memory of War and Peace, a virtual museum dedicated to the preservation and presentation of the cultural heritage, oral histories, and historical archives of Mosul.

By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of Content

All materials on this website—including but not limited to oral histories, documents, photographs, and audiovisual content—are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

• Materials may be used for educational and non-commercial purposes with proper attribution.

• Reproduction, redistribution, or modification for commercial purposes without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

• When citing content, please include the title of the project, the author/interviewee (if known), and a link to the original source.

2. User Contributions

We welcome contributions from the public, including oral histories, documents, or photographs.

• By submitting content, you affirm that you have the right to share the material and grant Memory of War and Peace a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish and preserve it.

• Submissions may be edited for clarity, language, or historical annotation before publication.

3. Respectful Use

This platform is a space for memory, dignity, and public scholarship. Users agree not to:

• Post or share hateful, defamatory, or false information

• Infringe on the privacy or dignity of individuals featured in the content

• Use the platform for political propaganda or commercial solicitation

Violations may result in removal of content or termination of access.

4. Privacy

5. Disclaimer

The views expressed in oral histories and other primary materials are those of the individuals sharing them and do not necessarily reflect the views of the curators or hosting institutions. Every effort has been made to verify accuracy; however, Memory of War and Peace is not responsible for errors or omissions.

These Terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
